Andrew Galbraith, Interim CEO

Andrew is a dedicated and experienced educational leader currently serving as the Interim CEO of Dunstone Education Trust and the Principal at Fulwood Academy. Under Andrew 's leadership, Fulwood Academy achieved a "Good" rating from Ofsted in June 2023, a testament to his commitment to academic excellence and student success.

With a robust background in educational management and a passion for fostering inclusive and high-quality learning environments, Andrew has been instrumental in driving significant improvements and positive outcomes in the schools he has led. Andrew’s innovative approaches and strategic vision continue to inspire staff and students alike.

In his role as Interim CEO, Andrew is focused on promoting collaboration across the trust, developing a growth strategy to ensure that all academies benefit from shared best practices and resources. His dedication to educational excellence and proven track record make him a pivotal figure in shaping the future of education within the trust.

 

 

 
James Bell, Chief Financial Officer

A qualified Chartered Accountant, James’ experience was born and developed in the Not for Profit Sector. James has experience of working with schools, as well as Local Authority’s through his previous auditing roles. Most recently James has worked with Fulwood Academy as part of the Dunstone Education Trust ensuring financial compliance and service level value for money. James currently works as the Trust's Chief Finance Officer, ensuring that every financial decision impacts positively on students.

 

 
Andy Hunt, Dunstone Primary Director of Education

Andy has over 20 years' experience working in a range of primary schools, across the North West of England, Cumbria, Greater Manchester and Yorkshire. He has extensive knowledge of all aspects of primary school improvement and has taken on extra roles such as a Lead Headteacher for Wigan’s local authority, as well as delivering leadership coaching to school leaders in Bradford.

Andy has successfully led on many roles, in four different schools; both maintained and academy. He is able to specifically adapt his support to the requirements of all settings, to ensure improvements are sustained and tailored to each school. He has a particular interest in developing leaders at all levels and has a proven track record of this.

Andy's impact has been significant across all of the schools in which he has been a senior leader; moving schools from Requires Improvement to Good and Good to Outstanding.

As Headteacher of Golborne Community Primary School for over 11 years now, Andy successfully led the school through four inspections within his first two years and turned one of the lowest performing schools in Wigan, to now being one of the highest-achieving.

Andy has successfully completed both the NPQH and NPQEL. Annually, he delivers a wide range of training at Edge Hill University, to both the Early Years and KS1/KS2 trainees. Andy is also a lead inspector for Ofsted which brings invaluable experience to his roles.

He is extremely excited by the opportunity to develop ‘The Dunstone Primary Partnership’ across all schools and ultimately, deliver the best possible outcomes for all children.

 

Connor Elliott, ICT Network Manager

With over half a decade of experience in ICT Support within the education sector, Connor currently serves as the IT Network Manager at Fulwood Academy. His responsibilities include the management of the school’s computer network, telephony, and MIS systems. Connor has a proven track record in optimising network performance for seamless operations and his areas of expertise are Cybersecurity, scalable infrastructure solutions and cloud computing. He is an integral part of the school Artificial Intelligence (AI) Leadership Team and supports in the areas of social media and website marketing support.
